Let’s make 2015 a year filled with haute hairstyles. Take inspiration from these three beauties with their contrasting updos spotted at the Golden Globes after-party.

Nicola Anne Peltz opted for the tuck. This is for those of you who want to get the effect of a shorter style without snipping your lengths. The pretty, undone effect comes into focus as strands of hair are kept loose, framing the face. The best part is that you only need a few bobby pins to tuck your hair and pin it into place.

With all eyes on Jennifer Lopez during her red carpet appearance (yes, she looks better than ever), it was time for a hairstyle change before the after-party. A high ponytail screams party time and the swept-up hairstyle makes the facial features the focus, also a great way of showcasing your smoky eye makeup.

A centre-parted, sleek ballet bun tied at the nape of the neck says “I’m elegant.” For Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, this hairdo worked beautifully with the plunging back of her dress. All you have to do is tuck the hair behind your ears, twist, and pin—et voila.
