Bride Dubai 2016, held from Feb 10th to Feb 13th, featured jewelry exhibitions, makeup and hair stands, regional wedding dress vendors, and catwalk shows to inspire brides-to-be in the throes of wedding planning.
The four-day event was concluded with a grandiose runway show presented by couturier Furne One of Amato. For his lively bridal collection, Amato ditched the traditional floor-trailing wedding veil for sheer, birdcage styles featuring embroidered flowers. The tulle face-framers were finished with a thick grosgrain ribbon that twisted into a feminine bow for a girly spin on the old-Hollywood look and gave a couture feel to the sophisticated updos. The models’ hair were pulled back into sleek, low ponytails and tucked at the nape of the neck to create neat, chic buns. A spritz of stronghold hairspray throughout the mane prevented a halo of fly-aways and provided a glossy, gravity-defying hold. The dainty updos were then accessorized with the tulle face-screens, to add a dose of drama to the demure beauty look.
