Is Blk (Water) the New Black?

For a long time, the fashion set’s favorite drink was Diet Coke, nearly black in color, and we never thought twice about drinking it.

In 2014, fashion’s finest were obsessed with green juices; throw down anything cold-pressed with an extra shot of kale and you were good to go. As we move into 2015, it seems that we’re heading back to black—black water (Blk Alkaline Fulvic Trace Mineral Infused Water) seems to be the new addiction.

Blk water is black in color because it is fortified with fulvic trace minerals and has a pH level of 8, but it tastes completely like standard water. The lack of artificial dyes, colors, or caffeine, plus the addition of 77 trace minerals, electrolytes, and antioxidants make this liquid a hydration powerhouse.

This water has been seen making rounds among the fashion set—Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing, Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, and model Soo Joo Park are some of the famous faces taking a walk on the dark side. The special H20 also has a new partnership with Generation Rescue in aid of families with autism spectrum disorders, so you can hydrate with a clear conscience.

The inky black liquid has just arrived in the UAE (not yet available in other regions within the Middle East, so stay tuned) and can be bought at Wanna Banana and at the Salt food van on Kite Beach. Curious? Try some for yourself.
