The beauty world has dedicated countless dollars and endless amounts of time to taming frizz and corralling curls, devising everything from serums to static-diffusing sheets reminiscent of laundry room staples (like Kérastase’s newly launched Carré Lissant) to control the unwanted effects of winter. Notables like Emily Blunt, Suki Waterhouse, Natalia Vodianova, and Beyoncé, however, are making a case for worn-in waves from coast-to-coast. Strands that appear as if a sweater has just been pulled over them are the look du jour, and are as easy to attain as finger-combing those leftover holiday-party curls from the night before…or simply mussing-up a perfect blow-out by getting dressed.
