Try Bella Hadid’s Easy Ponytail Update

There’s something about a strict center part that immediately takes a basic ponytail to polished new levels—a tactic often employed backstage. Bella Hadid drove home the point on the red carpet in New York City last night to celebrate Samsung’s latest gadget (the Galaxy S6 edge+) and lookbook lensed by Steven Klein. (Yes, tech companies are tapping supers and producing lookbooks—the future has officially arrived.) “We wanted her hair to go along with the vibe of her dress—sexy and chic,” said hairstylist Cecilia Romero. After dividing hair down the middle, the pro blow-dried strands at the top of the head, then reached for René Furterer Vegetal Mousse and finishing spray to lock the part in place. Next, the length was gathered into a low pony, secured with an elastic, and wrapped with a small section of hair. For an ultra-sleek finish, Romero passed over the tail with a flat-iron and misted with glossing spray for a high-shine effect. While we appreciate the bells and whistles associated with a phone, when it comes to our hair, we prefer to keep it uncomplicated and classic.
