Shattered glass nails, bubble nails, sweater nails—just when we thought we’d seen it all—images of wild, furry nails plastered all over our Instagram feeds suggested otherwise. The look was first spotted on Libertine’s runway during New York fashion week, where models sported cozy knits and wools accessorized with furry nails for the Fall 2016 ready-to-wear show.
It’s a bold, avant-garde manicure, and surprisingly, calls for no more than three steps to recreate the look.
Fur Real: How to Achieve Fuzzy Fingertips
Creative Director and Cofounder of CND nail polish, Jan Arnold reached for the Vinylux Weekly Polish (US $11; AED/SAR 40) in Rubble and Cream Puff, before layering a clear topcoat on models’ nails. Arnold then accessorized nails with strips of brown or white faux fur to complete the statement look. These fuzzy manicures are the beauty equivalent to a fur coat for your digits, although they are not quite as practical or wearable. Consider your next Halloween manicure issues solved.
