Meet Layali, a model and makeup artist based in Saudi Arabia who is making waves for her resemblance to Kim Kardashian. With reports on MBC and Sayidaty commenting on her snug clothes and clear imitation of Kim’s style, it appears that she is set to capitalize on her doppelganger status. The 22-year-old admits, “I don’t think I actually look like Kim, but everyone tells me there is a resemblance.”
The young hopeful has been posting how-to makeup videos on social media (along with a multitude of selfies), focusing on contouring and highlighting and how to create the illusion of bigger lips. Gathering nearly 19,000 followers on her Instagram account with only 210 posts to date (that’s 90 new followers per post), she might just be on her way to becoming the new Huda Kattan.
ELIZABETH WHISTON-DEW: When did you realize that you had a talent for makeup?
LAYALI: My friends asked me to give them a makeover and then the word spread. So, I created my Instagram account @LayaliMakeover to talk to a wider audience.
