If this new leader on the beauty block looks familiar it’s because she is actress, Rachel McAdam’s, younger sister, though in our books, this face-painter is a star in her own right.
McAdams found her calling after visiting her sister on the set of The Notebook, and hasn’t looked back since. She has worked with photographers such as Annie Leibovitz, Gilles Bensimon, and Matthias Vries McGrath, with an enviable list of celebrity clientele, which includes Emma Stone, Sofia Vergara, and January Jones. Her editorial work has been featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Glamour, among others.
With a signature style that focuses on bone structure and natural, clean makeup to suit all tones, she focuses on mastering the bare essentials and selecting the right shades. Her easy step-by-step tutorials focus on beauty basics, such as how to perfect bold brows, winged eyeliner, or the Olsen twins’ bronze smokey-eye. As for her favorite part of being a makeup artist she stated, “I enjoy the flexibility and creativity it gives me. I enjoy working with people who want to try different things, and I follow trends in magazines. Between the actress, the hairstylist, and the makeup artist, everyone works together to be inspired, and it becomes a collaboration to decide on a particular look at that time.”
