“Futuristic, helmet-like hair” is how Guido Palau described the sleek chignons at Givenchy. To create the look, Palau combed gel through the models’ lengths before securing their hair into low buns. Wet strands were fixed to their foreheads for a sleek finishing touch.

RAPUNZEL BRAIDS at VALENTINO
“You are the beautiful daughters of Adam and Eve, back to the garden of Eden strolling graciously and peacefully to a new apple tree…” read the sign backstage at Valentino. Models were motivated to channel the figures in a painting by Hieronymus Bosch—The Garden of Earthly Delights. They took to the runway with loose, hip-grazing braids that fell down the center of their backs.
