Put down the curling iron and dust off your GHD straightener. So far this week from backstage beauty, it’s been super slick locks all the way. And if you ever needed an inspiration picture to replicate the trend, this would be it. Snapped backstage at Balmain, the beauty force that is Caroline Trentini, Mariacarla Boscono, and Gisele Bündchen all work slicked back ponytails complete with a center parting courtesy of hair stylist Sam McKnight.

Yesterday, Natasha Poly took to the runway for Balenciaga with a neat bun coiffed at the nape of her neck, complete with center part and slicked down sides. And this morning at Roland Mouret, the models wore choppy locks with a mirror-like-shine that hung long and loose down their backs, along with poker straight hair extensions to give their hair weight and movement.

How to get the look:

Start with squeaky-clean hair and take the spike of your pintail comb to create a precision parting bang down the middle of your hair. Using a good measure of the BB Bumble and Bumble Grooming Crème, smooth from the roots of your hair, pulling your lengths into a low ponytail and fasten with a clear elastic. If you have a blunt cut, show it off by keeping your hair in a low ponytail, running a straightening iron over the lengths. Hide your elastic by taking a small section of the hair and wrap it around the band securing the ends out of sight with a bobby pin. Et voilà: haute hair, all in a matter of three minutes.
