Dubai-based, singing sensation Balqees Fathi shared a photo on Instagram with her 4.4 million followers on Wednesday and it showcased her looking remarkably different with pink waves and sharp bangs. The candy-colored wig is a dramatic change from the signature waist-grazing, chocolate mane that won the 26-year-old the role as the new face of Pantene, and it notably draws attention to her high-impact, metallic makeup. Earlier this week, Fathi opted to frame her fresh face, long lashes, and nude lips with a backdrop of silver waves.
It’s refreshing to see Fathi—who is usually beauty-conservative when it comes to switching up her look—play with convention. Indeed, it’s a simple move that has dramatically altered her entire appearance, and is one that has us reaching for our rose-tinted glasses.
