With every new season comes a fresh must-have shoe. Enter the Alberta Ferretti Mia Mule. The embroidered, velvet slipper made its debut at the Italian brand’s Fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection. Plucked from the label’s ‘90s archives, the signature flat is an evolved silhouette that features floral details and takes two days to craft.
Italian fashion bloggers Chiara Ferragni, Eleonora Carisi, and co-designer of Attico, Gilda Ambrosio, have all been spotted wearing the luxurious slip-on. Italian model Bianca Balti took to the red carpet in the plush, pointed-toe iteration and a tiered, floor-sweeping gown at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival—which proved that the covetable shoe can seamlessly transition from day to night.
