We’re only midway through the year and the 2016 celebrity engagement announcements just keep coming. Leading the pack of soon-to-be brides and grooms is model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and actor Jason Statham. The Furious 7 star popped the question to his girlfriend of five years in January, and the sparkler was spotted decorating Huntington-Whiteley’s ring finger when the glamorous couple arrived at the Golden Globes that month.
Model Kate Upton announced her engagement to baseball pitcher Justin Verlander in similar fashion. She made her supersized engagement ring her main affair on the 2016 Met Gala red carpet. Meanwhile, Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson stepped out wearing a delicate diamond on her left hand, confirming that the Room star was engaged to boyfriend and Phantom Planet singer, Alex Greenwald.
Not one to shy away from the spotlight, Mariah Carey has been flashing some serious bling since getting engaged. Australian billionaire and businessman James Packer made it official and slipped a whopping 35-carat diamond and platinum engagement ring on the singer’s finger earlier this year.
The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s younger sister Pippa Middleton announced her engagement to hedge fund manager James Matthews earlier this month. The youngest Middleton sister made a formal announcement to spread the happy news. Meanwhile, former Victoria’s Secret angel Miranda Kerr took to Instagram with a black and white photo (complete with personalized bitmoji) of her hand along with the caption, “I said yes!” Kerr is set to wed Snapchat CEO and co-founder, Evan Spiegel.
