At 69 years old, Youssra remains one of the region’s most loved and respected faces — and the world knows it. Last night, the Vogue Arabia April 2024 cover star received a major honor for her achievements at the Beirut International Women Film Festival.

This year, Youssra celebrates 47 successful years in the industry, and to commemorate her incredible body of work, the Beirut International Women Film Festival invited the the Egyptian icon to its award ceremony last evening for a very special moment. Youssra was presented with a beautifully sculpted gold award, and made sure to share pictures of her time on stage on her personal Instagram account. “A tribute means a lot to me a beloved country like Lebanon,” she wrote. “The amount of love I have seen from Lebanese despite the difficulties they are going through is a very important thing in my history, thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Beirut Women’s Film Festival and all the greetings to the people of Lebanon ❤️ @beirutwomenfilmfestival.”

But that’s not all. To honor Youssra’s career, dancers took over the stage at the award ceremony to pay homage to her most-loved characters and performances before inviting the actor herself onto the stage to receive her award. Youssra sparkled in black and gold at the Beirut International Women Film Festival
For her moment in the spotlight, Youssra went all-out with her sartorial pick. The 69-year-old beauty opted for a Georges Chakra creation which seemed to comprise of a sparkling gold dress, topped off with a sheer black maxi dress, and as a final touch, a sweeping ankle-length coat doused in rich gold embroidery. The couture outfit also came with a thick gilded neckline and voluminous gold tassels that caught the light theatrically as Youssra moved.
To complete her look for the night, the actor went with the ‘more is more’ aesthetic, accessorizing her Georges Chakra look with chunky gold earrings that went way past her shoulders. Slicked back blonde locks, lush lashes, and a lovely red lip completed her look.
