Ashley Graham Has Landed a Major New Role

This week at Paris’s Hôtel d’Evreux in Place Vendôme, Fausto Puglisi unveiled a capsule collection that caters to curvy body types in collaboration with Marina Rinaldi (part of the Max Mara fashion group). Fittingly, the face of the inclusive collaboration is model Ashley Graham, who shares the cover of Vogue Arabia’s body positive July/August 2018 cover with Paloma Elsesser. Graham previously collaborated with the Reggio Emilia-based label on a highly coveted denim collection for women with voluptuous figures back in 2017.

Though Marina Rinaldi has been churning out clothing that is specifically tailored towards the voluptuous female consumer since its inception in 1980, the recently unveiled capsule collection serves as a first for Fausto Puglisi. “We are living in a moment of inclusion. Let’s do something about happiness and freedom,” said Puglisi to US Vogue

The collection is peppered with Puglisi’s signature color-blocking techniques and sensual silhouettes comprising high slits and plunging necklines. The ultra-chic range of ready-to-wear is crafted in rich fabrics such as silk twill and chiffon. A standout piece includes a red, floor-length leopard print dress with a high slit, which Graham wore for the occasion of the capsule’s launch at Place Vendôme during Couture Week. Other pieces in the collection include a heavily-embellished leather biker jacket, skirts, and versatile slinky dresses that can be worn on different occasions. The MR by Fausto Puglisi line is available for purchase in select Marina Rinaldi boutiques and online at marinarinaldi.com from September.
