Pharrell has previously starred in a Chanel short-film alongside Cara Delevingne and in December he walked the runway for its Pre-Fall 2017 Metiers d’Arts Show in Paris. Now he is making headlines again as the first man ever to appear in a handbag campaign for the brand. The French fashion house has been releasing star-studded short-films promoting its new Gabrielle handbag since it debuted on the runway last year. With this latest release, starring Pharrell Williams, creative director Karl Lagerfeld makes the case for the It-bag du jour being for both men and women.

In the film, the artist explores a music equipment-filled warehouse sporting the Gabrielle bag on his shoulder and, of course, accessorised with layers-on-layers of Chanel chain necklaces. The Parisian luxury label has got us lusting for the must-have handbag of the season but also fear that it may get borrowed by the boys.
