Like father, like daughter. Jana Diab is the latest celebrity offspring on our radar. The photogenic millennial is the 13-year-old daughter of Egyptian singing sensation Amr Diab, who appears to have inherited more from her father than just his enviable bone structure. The London-based teen made waves after releasing her first single, Mouth Taped Shut via her Instagram account (43.4K followers) and YouTube channel. The song went on to garner a quarter of a million YouTube views in just three days, and collected hundreds of comments from fans praising her beautiful vocals. The song, which is performed in English, has proven to be extremely cover-worthy; a number of different remixes were released after a mere week. While having a father who is the best-selling Middle Eastern singer of all time isn’t a sure-fire recipe for success, the aspiring popstar is certainly one to watch.
