This Hadid Sister Launches a New Sunglasses Collection

Like her younger half-sisters Bella and Gigi, Alana Hadid is working on a design project. She teamed up with her father, real-estate mogul Mohamed Hadid, on a namesake eyewear line called Hadid Eyewear.

Launching today on the brand’s website, the collection is made up of six styles featuring patterned frames, rose-tinted lenses, flat-top designs, and round-shaped silhouettes. “We both really love sunglasses––if you look at my father’s Instagram, he is wearing sunglasses in every photo. We both probably own [more than] 100 pairs. We are [pleased] to do something accessible to everyone. We wanted to keep [prices] at a point where, if somewhere really loves them, they can buy them in all the colorways,” Alana Hadid told WWD. Indeed, the sunglasses start at a $149 (AED/SAR 547) price point with a percentage of sales going towards the Vision of Children Foundation.

This is not Alana Hadid’s first designing venture. The Los Angeles-based stylist and entrepreneur has a line of T-shirts called Current Moji, and also collaborated on a capsule collection of clutches, sweatshirts, and scarves with LOFT’s diffusion leisure line Lou & Grey.
