Yesterday, supermodels, designers, actors, and royalty descended upon the French Riviera to attend the star-studded Fashion For Relief charity gala. The event raised funds for the Save the Children foundation to provide food, aid, and shelter to children caught in urgent humanitarian crises and children affected by the Syrian conflict.

Naomi Campbell, who founded the charity event in 2005, gathered today’s top models – including Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Jourdan Dunn – to walk the catwalk sporting designs donated by prestigious fashion houses Pucci, Balmain, and Atelier Versace, whom Campbell personally called. Supermodel icons Kate Moss and Heidi Klum made a runway return, alongside Lebanese influencer Lana El Sahely (who made her runway debut at Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2017 ready-to-wear showcase in Milan) wearing Racil.

The woman of the hour, Campbell (who is celebrating her 47th birthday today) also had her turn on the catwalk, modeling designs by Maison Margiela and Atelier Versace.

After the runway show, models made quick outfit changes to enjoy a stylish dinner and special performance by Lauryn Hill. While Hadid changed back into her red carpet embellished Roberto Cavalli gown, Jenner sported her fourth look of the evening. The model, who arrived in a statement single-sleeved Alexandre Vauthier top paired with denim shorts, opted for a Francesco Scognamiglio slip dress after shutting down the catwalk. Dunn turned heads in a sparkly, body-hugging Jonathan Simkhai jumpsuit, and Moss stole the show in a black, floor-length gown with a pleated skirt and statement collar.

Guests included Donatella Versace, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lewis Hamilton, Uma Thurman, Lottie Moss, Princess Beatrice, and HH Queen Rania of Jordan, who was the guest of honor. Her Highness was presented with a Fellowship Award from Fashion For Relief for her work in improving the lives of refugee children and women. “Humbled to receive a humanitarian award from Fashion For Relief, which is supporting Save the Children’s Every Last Child Campaign this year,” wrote the royal on her personal Twitter account. Mary J. Blige and Antonio Banderas also turned up to support Campbell’s charity gala.

Fashion For Relief, now in its 12th year, was set up by Campbell to raise awareness and vital funds for global issues, including Ebola and natural disasters such as the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami, and Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In February, the model and activist visited the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan, which is home to more than 80,000 Syrian refugees – more than half of which are children. “I saw firsthand exactly what these children are going through,” she said. “I met with children who have been traumatized by the war.” All proceeds from this year’s show will go towards the Save the Children Foundation.
