DDFC/Vogue Fashion Prize accessories winner, Okhtein, has chosen Egyptian actor Amina Khalil as its brand ambassador. The sister duo behind the brand, Mounaz and Aya Abdel Raouf, say they chose Khalil – who is known for her role in the Ramadan series Grand Hotel – because she is “strong, eloquent, independent, restless, and constantly evolving.”

Khalil is equally inspired by the Okhtein sisters’ role in elevating Egyptian craftsmanship in fashion via their accessories label. “By representing Okhtein, I’m representing the determination that drives us Egyptians to pursue our goals and ambitions despite the obstacles that may cross our paths,” she says. Here, Khalil poses in her first pictures for Okhtein against a backdrop of four-sided mirrors, intended to reflect multifaceted personalities as projected by the Fall 2017 Edge bag and its wearer.
