To celebrate the launch of the “Manolo Blahnik: The Art of Shoes” exhibition at the Palazzo Morando, the designer has collaborated with the Four Seasons Hotel Milano to offer up a special travel package, aptly titled the Manolo Blahnik. Naturally, the shoe master has created a limited edition rich blue velvet and satin slipper, complete with a statement hand embroidered motif, that is presented to guests who plump for the special booking. “Four Seasons in Milan is like a home away from home to me,” shares Blahnik. “I have been coming here since the beginning and I can’t wait to visit and wear the slippers myself!”

In 1970, Blahnik met with then US Vogue Editor-in-Chief Diana Vreeland while on a trip to New York. The emerging designer showed the charismatic editor his ideas portfolio, only to be looked in the eye by Vreeland and told some fateful words: “Young man, do things, do accessories, do shoes.” Blahnik did just that. Fast forward to 2017––the new exhibit celebrates the forty years since that significant Vogue encounter. The fashion industry has witnessed the meteoric rise of the footwear designer and showcases his distinctive original drawings that ooze his genius, amongst over 200 pairs of shoes from the ‘70s to present day.

The Manolo Blahnik Package at the Four Seasons Hotel Milano includes accommodation at the Four Seasons Hotel Milano with continental breakfast, complimentary access to the “Manolo Blahnik: The Art of Shoes” exhibition at the Palazzo Morando, a Glam Aromatic Foot Ritual at the hotel spa, and, of course, one pair of the Manolo Blahnik slippers. Well worth the long-haul flight from the Gulf.

This Manolo Blahnik X Four Seasons Hotel Milano package is valid until April 9, 2017, based on availability, starting from EUR 830 per night, based on double occupancy in a Superior Room.
