Vogue international editor Suzy Menkes has chosen Oman for the third Condé Nast International Luxury Conference. The three-day event, which begins on April 4 with a dinner at The National Museum in Muscat, features prominent speakers such as Alber Elbaz, Aquazzura’s Edgardo Osorio, Farfetch founder José Neves, and jewelry designer Noor Fares. “These are interesting times for the fashion and luxury retail business – where better to discuss the future of the industry than the beautiful, lush and thoughtful oasis of Oman, positioned at the nexus of the old and new worlds, and at the heart of new trade routes?” says Menkes, who will be giving a preview of the conference on Tuesday at 5.30pm UAE time in a Facebook Live interview.
