Unlike her sister Kylie, Kendall Jenner isn’t the first person you’d think of when it comes to dramatic hair transformations. Save for her platinum hair switch-up at Balmain’s Fall 2016 show (which was a wig), the most extreme the 21-year-old model will go is snipping a few inches off her obsidian lengths. That’s why when images emerged of Jenner’s above-the-shoulders cut bleached to a platinum shade on set for Pepsi Max’s Live for Now campaign, we were surprised. Is the model taking a beauty cue from her British BFF Cara Delevingne, who recently debuted a game-changing dye job, or is it a trompe l’oeil like Gigi Hadid’s short-haired April Fool’s prank? Though most likely the latter, Jenner proves that she pulls off blonde hair with equal aplomb, especially when paired with a swipe of contrasting berry lipstick.
