Boutique fitness is a relatively new concept to the region, which is why the arrival from London of Embody Fitness, which opened this month and is housed in the Lamborghini Building on Sheikh Zayed Road, is set to shake up the local wellness scene.
Known for its body transformation programs (check out its website to see for yourself), the members-only club offers an individualized approach. After a thorough assessment meant to gauge your fitness level and diet, you’re assigned a trainer, who customizes each session to challenge you and help you achieve the goal of transforming your body, whether you’re aiming to lose some weight or get a six-pack in 12 weeks.

The team at Embody believes that diet plays as important a role in your transformation as your exercise routine – an in-house nutritionist is at hand to devise a nutrition plan tailor made to achieve your goals. “We deliver results, not just personal training,” says co-founder James Miller. “The unique team approach covers every aspect from individual program design, from injury and movement screening to customized nutrition planning to on-site sports therapy, regular monitoring and reassessments and a full nutritional and supplementation program to ensure that every client achieves the very best results possible under our guidance.”
The facilities and amenities are top notch, from the state-of-the art training areas to the high-end Espa products available in the changing rooms. While the club offers some group classes, the focus here is on the one-on-one and tailor-made approach to making you stronger and fitter.
