XYoga Festival Dubai: Believe in Energy, Not Age

The inaugural XYoga Dubai Festival will take place at Burj Park Downtown Dubai on February 19th and 20th. Style.com/Arabia’s Fitness Guru brings us her highlights.

WHAT IT IS

The XYoga Dubai Festival is a yoga and wellness initiative founded by Dubai Tourism and XDubai (the same company that brought the zip line to Downtown Dubai). It’s a two-day outdoor festival hosted by yoga instructors from around the world who will teach group yoga classes and wellness workshops.

Dashama Konah

The lifestyle coach is credited for pioneering paddle board “SUP” yoga and is also the creator of her own Yoga style, “Pranashama Dashama.” She will be demonstrating her yoga and meditation techniques aimed at healing the mind and challenging the body.

Megan Joy

Megan Joy is a Dubai-based fitness trainer and yoga instructor. This self-taught yogi has lived in Dubai for 20 years and continuously inspires her Instagram followers with motivational quotes and workouts. We hope to learn a thing or two from this local fitness guru.

Tao Porchon-Lynch

Born in 1918, Tao Porchon-Lynch is certified by the Guinness World Records to be the world’s oldest yoga teacher. Her philosophy is, “Believe in energy, not age.” A devout vegetarian, Porchon-Lynch strenuously avoids medication and supplements and has devoted her life to teaching yoga and traveling frequently to India to continue her study of the art.

Sanne Kerkhof

Kerkhof has her own yoga studio in Amsterdam and is a certified Vijnana yoga teacher and expert in pregnancy yoga. A mother of three children, Kerkhof’s teaching is supported by her extensive personal experience, contributing to pregnant women’s physical and mental process. Any expectant women should slot in Kerkhof’s class.
