Celebrated American footwear label Stuart Weitzman and Kuwaiti style influencer Ascia AKF from The Hybrids blog, hosted an intimate dinner in Kuwait to introduce the Pavé Nudist collection—exclusive to the Middle East. The label’s iconic two-strap silhouette has been given a sparkling update with six limited edition renditions and is encrusted with Swarovski crystals in black polka-dots, camouflage, turquoise chevron, python print, shimmery iridescent, and gold dégradé.
Held at Ora—Kuwait’s Japanese tapas hotspot located at Arabella—the restaurant’s marble interior served as a creamy backdrop for the crystal-laden shoes on display. The host of the evening, Ascia Al Faraj, welcomed guests wearing a gray, pinstripe ensemble by June 18, and the glittering polka-dot sandals from the exclusive collection. Stuart Weitzman’s CEO, Wayne Kulkin, was in attendance and explained to Style.com/Arabia, “We created this collection to reflect the vibrant aesthetic of women in the region and their bold approach to fashion.”
Also on the guest list was Kuwaiti style influencer Yalda Golsharifi; Joumana Soufi from The Side Talk blog; Taiba Al-Nassar from The Urban Analyst blog; and Noaf Hussein, the founder of social events organization, Pretty Little Things (PLTQ8); while Style.com/Arabia was the only official publication to attend the swanky soirée.
Guests enjoyed a delectable menu, which included crispy duck salad, the chef’s selection of Japanese tapas, grilled king prawns, short rib risotto, and chocolate and salted caramel bread pudding.
