You read right—it’s “Salam 2015,” not Spring 2015. Ta Marbota introduces its first collection of the year (Hello 2015) with abayas that feature flower embroideries stitched on crepe and organza and cut to create structural silhouettes that emphasize volume.
The collection was showcased this weekend at the Park Hyatt Hotel on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza. Jeddah-based founder Rawan Azhar designed her inaugural abaya collection in 2010. See Salam 2015—an homage to Islamic art—in the gallery above.
