Exclusive Sketches Revealed Ahead of the First Michael Cinco Paris Fashion Week Couture Show

Dubai-based couturier Michael Cinco will head to the French capital next month to showcase his collection for the first time during Paris Fashion Week. The Filipino designer’s debut is set to take place in the heart of the city at the Tuileries Garden—an iconic Parisian landmark that’s located between the Louvre Museum and Place de la Concorde—on the first day of Couture. Ahead of the anticipated Micheal Cinco Paris Fashion Week Couture show, the designer exclusively shares the design sketches from his Fall 2016 Couture collection with Style.com/Arabia.

The illustrations portray delicate floral motifs traced across sheer dresses and gowns. There’s a noticeable focus on streamlined silhouettes through a black, off-the-shoulder gown; a trumpet skirt featuring a button-down yoke; and a long-sleeved, plunging number. Since the launch of his label in 2003, Cinco has acquired a following across the region (and the world) for his opulent designs, exuberant embellishments, and elaborate details. Meanwhile, and having recently opened the doors of his new atelier in the Dubai Design District (d3), the couturier has become one of the UAE’s key fashion players. Cinco has dressed a slew of celebrities, including international superstars like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Sofía Vergara—as well as Mila Kunis for her role in the sci-fi movie Jupiter Ascending. In the gallery above, take a look at the exclusive design sketches ahead of the Michael Cinco Paris Fashion Week Couture show.
